About Me
I’m a full stack developer who worked my way up from an intern, learning on the job and gradually taking on more responsibility over time. Over the past few years, I’ve built, maintained, and supported production websites using PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, and related tools, with a strong focus on reliability and accessibility. I enjoy writing clean, maintainable code and taking the time to understand how systems fit together, whether that means improving existing features or building something new from scratch. A big part of my work has been working closely with designers and clients to turn ideas into functional, usable sites that hold up long term.
Outside of web development, I spend a lot of time making things in different forms. I create art in my free time, mostly working with gouache and painting portraits of people and pets. I also enjoy hands-on projects like sculpting small pieces, tinkering with Raspberry Pis, and generally experimenting with physical and digital tools. I like learning by doing, and I’m happiest when I’m actively building, testing, and refining something, even if it’s just for fun or curiosity.
When I’m not working, I love to cook and spend time maintaining my aquariums, both of which scratch the same itch for patience and care. I usually have a few side projects going at any given time, and I enjoy exploring new ideas without worrying too much about the end result. Whether it’s code, art, or a small personal project, I’m motivated by the process of creating things and steadily improving along the way.
